The Costa Voyager was expected to sail Red Sea Cruise throughout the winter and spring season - but this was not meant to be. All the remaining Costa Voyager Red Sea Cruises have been cancelled and guest will be offered an equivalent cruise according to a statement made by Costa.The Costa Voyager will assume the cruises originally anticipated for the Costa Allegra which was damaged by a fire off the coast of Africa.
Costa Voyager will take over the Northern Europe and Mediterranean itineraries originally planned for Costa Allegra starting today (March 18) thru the end of the summer. The Costa Allegra was to operate the spring, summer and fall under a charter to a French Tour Company. The charter has now been assumed by the Costa Voyager.
Costa Allegra will not be returned to service and is for sale.
