Royal Caribbean International continues to provide its guests with the ultimate vacation experience by enhancing its onboard dining options with the addition of Oasis-class amenities to even more ships. Next in line is Serenade of the Seas, which is scheduled for an extensive revitalization this fall.
Serenade of the Seas will wow guests in December when she re-emerges from her dry dock with a new lineup of specialty restaurants, which will include Giovanni’s Table Italian restaurant, Izumi Asian cuisine and the intimate Chef’s Table dining experience, as well as dining packages for guests to enjoy all of them at incredible value. Guests will have the option of choosing the Royal Choice Dining Package, which includes dinner at Chops Grille, Giovanni’s Table and Izumi for $55 per guest, or the Chef’s Table Dining Package for $130 per guest, which includes all of the specialty restaurants as well as the Chef’s Table.

Serenade of the Seas also will offer additional dining deals at Giovanni’s Table. Groups of four or more can take advantage of the Celebration Dining Deal, which is valid for the first two nights of each sailing and allows groups of four or more to enjoy a delicious meal plus a $30 beverage credit at a cost of $20 per person. Groups of eight or more can opt for the Set Sail Dining Deal which includes dinner on the first night of their cruise for $14 per guest.

Further enhancing its onboard culinary offerings Royal Caribbean is expanding its partnership with renowned wine producer Domaines Barons de Rothschild by offering the exclusive Lafite Wine Tasting Experience onboard. Available for $23 to $25 per person, depending upon ship and itinerary, the experience, which was first introduced onboard Allure of the Seas, offers guests a unique tasting showcasing the renowned vintages from France’s Bordeaux region.

Developed in conjunction with Château Lafite Rothschild, the premier estate under the Rothschild name, and Master Sommelier John Blazon, the Lafite Wine Experience aims to expand guests’ understanding of growing regions within Bordeaux. A Royal Caribbean cellar master leads the tasting, sharing details about the wines and the winemakers and the history and suggestions for food pairings.  A souvenir packet allows guests to take a piece of the experience home with winemakers’ notes, recipes and more.

The Lafite Wine Tasting Experience is now available for pre-booking on select ships, including Allure of the Seas, Oasis of the Seas, Independence of the Seas, Liberty of the Seas, Freedom of the Seas, Mariner of the Seas, Navigator of the Seas, Adventure of the Seas, Explorer of the Seas, Jewel of the Seas and Enchantment of the Seas.

Royal Caribbean Announce 2011 Caribbean Season

April 15, 2010 – Royal Caribbean International today unveiled its 2011-12 Caribbean deployment, which includes vacations aboard some of the world’s most innovative cruise ships specifically designed for the region. Liberty of the Seas will be the first Freedom-class ship to offer short itineraries from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Jewel of the Seas will debut in November 2011 at its new seasonal homeport of Tampa. Allure of the Seas, Oasis of the Seas and Freedom of the Seas will continue seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean voyages while Monarch of the Seas and Majesty of the Seas will sail year-round short Bahamas getaways. In total, the seven ships will offer 439 sailings that call at 18 Caribbean ports on 55 unique itineraries. Bookings for these 2011-2012 Caribbean cruises open today.

The Caribbean offers vacationers an endless variety of adventurous and relaxing shore excursion options, whatever their desire, ranging from canopy, ATV or hiking explorations to snorkeling, parasailing, boating, and beach basking. At an additional cost, guests can experience the crystal clear waters and marine life up close on tours such as the “Turtle Cove Sail and Snorkel” in St. Thomas; soar from tree to tree on the “Chukka Canopy Experience” at Falmouth, Jamaica; explore the world famous wall-city ruins of Tulum at Cozumel on “Tulum Mayan Ruins Express”; or seek the ultimate relaxing beach day on “Carambola Beach Break” in St. Croix.

On many itineraries, guests will call at Royal Caribbean’s exclusive beach paradise of Labadee, Haiti, or the private island of CocoCay in the Bahamas. Both destinations offer a wide variety of optional water-sports excursions, while Labadee features additional amenities such as the “Dragon's Tail Coaster” and tours about the history and heritage of the Haitian people.

After its summer 2011 debut in the Mediterranean, Liberty of the Seas will return to South Florida in November and offer two five-night and a four-night short Western Caribbean itinerary from Port Everglades. Sister-ship Freedom of the Seas will alternate seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean roundtrip itineraries year-round from Port Canaveral, Fla., and feature a five-night pre-holiday getaway to the Western Caribbean on December 18 and a nine-night New Year’s celebration cruise on December 30. Liberty of the Seas and Freedom of the Seas boast an array of amenities that helped revolutionize the cruise industry, including the FlowRider surf simulator, the H20 Zone water park, a boxing ring, cantilevered whirlpools, and the four-bedroom, four-bathroom Presidential Family Suite that sleeps up to 14.

Allure of the Seas and Oasis of the Seas will continue to alternate seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries from Port Everglades. Allure of the Seas will, however, sail a special nine-night Eastern Caribbean holiday itinerary departing December 25, 2011, which features an additional call at Labadee and an extra day at sea to herald in the New Year and take in all the amenities on an Oasis-class ship. The following sailing on January 3, 2012, then offers a unique opportunity to sample an Oasis-class vacation on a five-night Western Caribbean itinerary, calling at Falmouth and Labadee. Or vacationers can combine the two sailings into a 14-night grand holiday voyage aboard the world’s largest and most innovative cruise ship.

Vacationers also will have a wide selection of short vacation options. Jewel of the Seas will offer vacationers two five-night and a four-night Western Caribbean itinerary from Tampa, convenient to Southeasterners. Year-round, Majesty of the Seas and Monarch of the Seas will offer three- and four-night short Bahamas itineraries from Miami and Port Canaveral, respectively.

Royal Caribbean Announces 2011 Cruise Schedule from the Northeast

March 11, 2010 – Royal Caribbean International today announced its roster of 2011-12 Bermuda, Caribbean, and Canada and New England cruises, ranging from five- to 12-night itineraries sailing from three convenient U.S. Northeast cruise ports. In 2011, Enchantment of the Seas will continue year-round service from Baltimore – its second consecutive year; for the fifth consecutive year, Explorer of the Seas will remain the most innovative cruise ship in the New York City metropolitan area, sailing year-round from Cape Liberty in Bayonne, N.J.; and Jewel of the Seas will offer its eighth short season from Boston. Royal Caribbean’s 2011-12 Bermuda, Caribbean and Canada and New England cruises from the Northeast U.S. are open for booking.

Vacationers can take in the breathtaking seasonal color of Canada and New England on 16 Royal Caribbean voyages in fall 2011. Jewel of the Seas will sail a seven-night itinerary, with calls at Portland and Bar Harbor, Me.; St. John, New Brunswick; and Halifax, Nova Scotia. Vacationers also can choose longer, nine-night itineraries aboard Explorer of the Seas and Enchantment of the Seas, which include Boston as a port of call.

In the summer and autumn seasons, vacationers have a choice of two ships sailing from convenient local home ports to Bermuda and the Caribbean. From Cape Liberty, Explorer of the Seas will alternate a five-night Bermuda and a nine-night Bermuda and Caribbean itinerary. Enchantment of the Seas will alternate a five-night Bermuda and a nine-night Eastern Caribbean itinerary from Baltimore. Both ships’ short Bermuda itineraries include an overnight in King’s Wharf, enabling guests to enjoy the island’s nightlife at their leisure. Both ships also will feature seven-night winter and Easter holiday sailings, with port calls at Port Canaveral, Fla.; Nassau, Bahamas and CocoCay, Royal Caribbean’s private island paradise.

During the 2011-12 winter months, vacationers also have choices of longer cruises to the warm waters of the Caribbean. Explorer of the Seas will alternate 10-night Eastern Caribbean and 11-night Southern Caribbean itineraries from Cape Liberty, while Enchantment of the Seas will alternate nine-night Bahamas and 12-night Southern Caribbean itineraries from Baltimore. Most Caribbean itineraries also will include a call to Labadee, Royal Caribbean’s private beach destination on the northern coast of Haiti.
