Discovery Cruise Lines' Discovery Sun returned to it daily sailings between Fort Lauderdale Florida and Grand Bahama Island on May 2nd 2009. The Discovery Sun was removed from service for most of the month of April while mechanical repairs were completed.Discovery sails every day except Wednesdays from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale to Grand Bahama Island, departing at 7:45 am and returning at 10 pm. Discovery offers Fun Day cruises as well as cruise and stay vacation packages at most of the island’s hotels.
